About

It was all a dram

And if you don't know, now you know: The Dram Report was established in 2024 and is run by three friends and whisky connoisseurs: David Zumini, Justin Dunlap, & Mike Hopkins. After we were unable to find a website or app that we liked for tracking what we've tried over the years, we decided to just build one for ourselves.

While we use it personally as a way to record our tastings, we hope you find it useful as a resource for discovering new whisky to try yourself.

In addition to our ratings and reviews, we'll be posting to the Journal with news, events, and our random musings on all things whisky. We'd love for this to become a community of whisky enthusiasts, so if any of that sounds interesting then please follow along here and on our social media accounts!

Whisky perfection. This is truly special and one of our favorite drams of all time.

Nearly perfect. A must-try if you can find it and have the means to get it.

This is great. There's a lot to love here and we'd recommend seeking it out for yourself.

Everyday stuff. It's definitely good, but not quite great. Well worth having on your shelf.

It's fine. We wouldn't seek it out, but if offered a dram we wouldn't turn it down.

Meh. It's not to our liking, but we could see how others might enjoy it.

It's bad. There's maybe one "ok" quality to it, but not enough to offset everything else.

Undrinkable. Something went very wrong here. Pass us the Malort instead.
