A very pleasant nose that evolves into bigger, bolder flavors on the palate. The cask really shines through on this one - I get a lot of oaky, chardonnay vibes all throughout which pair nicely with the smokiness from the peat. Kinda makes me wonder what a peated chardonnay would be like...
Is this my favorite Kilchoman release? I don't think I'd go that far. But it's quite tasty, with a unique and very interesting cask finish. Well worth a dram if you can find one.
