Tasting Notes

The tin claims it's reminiscent of a classic afternoon tea. And I'd say that's pretty accurate. I get honey, vanilla, sweet pastry, fruit/jam, and a hint of cinnamon. I think the proof balances it out nicely, preventing it from being too sweet while adding a depth of flavor. At 60% it's definitely warm, but I'm a sucker for proof so I'm not complaining.

Nose

Fruity and sweet, with perhaps just a hint of malt peeking through...

Palate

Spicy (cinnamon?) due to the proof, but gives way to a sweetness akin to fruit pastries. The label says it tastes of "afternoon tea" and I can see it.
