This is up there for my favorite, obtainable (at least right now), whiskies. It was recently clearly overtaken by A Tale of Tokyo, but this one is still in rarefied air. Glenmorangie's ex-bourbon barrel releases rarely disappoint. Nose is unremarkable, at least on this tasting, but the palate and finish are filled with a plethora of desserts. I'm currently imagining a vanilla cream pudding mixed with an airy whipped cream, drizzled with honey and topped with charred nectarines.
