Tasting Notes

A Canadian whisky finished in Portland, OR in collaboration with an Idaho based rodeo? Its whiskey and that's a good thing! But what is there, is a little disappointing. The orchestra playing in the concert of this whiskey is missing a few key instruments, especially on the low end. Wait, maybe the rodeo is missing a few clowns? It has some great notes in it, I just wish it all came together better.

Palate

Knowing that it was aged in olorosa sherry barrels allows me to pick up a few hints of the promised complexity that would entail, but releasing it at 40% could be doing all those flavors a disservice, those notes evaporate in a mildly acetone haze all too quickly.
