Ok, I could not be more biased... That said, this whisky is amazing. It hits all the right notes and has some great memories tied to it to boot. I am currently sampling this whisky as a treat of a successful multi-year gaming experience with friends. But... coincidentally and awesomely, it is also a year since we did the Springbank Barley and Bottle tour and created a bottle ourselves. This bottle is the one I blended and came home with. Therefore the score I just gave it should be taken with a huge grain of salt. That salt would probably just add to the slight brininess of what's in the glass in a lovely way. That salt and the Springbank spiderwebs hanging above the rafters on the malting floors at Springbank are currently having me experiencing whisky Nirvana. This is an impossible bottle to replicate, but I'd love to share a taste of it with you if end up at my door while it lasts. For the record, this bottle started with 350 ml of First Fill Bourbon 14 years old, 110 ml of Refill Sauternes Hogshead 11 years old, 110 ml of Refill Rum Barrel 15 years old, 120 ml of First Fill Sherry Hogshead 14 years old, and 20 ml of Refill Sherry Hogshead 11 years old .
